Network Admin Journey offers a small set of clearly defined network services for small and mid-sized businesses and for people building a career in networking. Every service has a fixed scope, a published starting price and written deliverables you keep, and every engagement follows the same lab-first, document-everything approach we teach in our free guides.
Who our services are for
Our services are designed for people and organizations who need practical, trustworthy networking help without the overhead of a large IT contract:
- Small and mid-sized businesses such as offices, clinics, studios, shops and nonprofits that rely on their network every day but do not have a dedicated network engineer.
- IT generalists and system administrators who look after the network alongside everything else and want an expert review, a structured improvement plan or proper documentation.
- Aspiring network engineers preparing for the CCNA or moving into networking from help desk or administration roles.
- Home lab builders who want a lab that supports their learning goals without wasting money on the wrong equipment.
All services are delivered remotely by default. On-site work is available only where a service says so and only by separate written agreement.
How engagements work
Each service follows four simple steps, so you always know what happens next:
- Order and intake. Choose a service and complete checkout. We then email you a short intake questionnaire about your network, your goals or your current skills.
- Discovery and plan. We review your answers, hold a kickoff call and gather the information we need. Before any change is made, we confirm scope, timeline and deliverables with you in writing.
- Delivery. We carry out the agreed work carefully and methodically, using secure screen sharing, temporary least-privilege access and live sessions where appropriate. You are kept informed throughout.
- Handover and follow-up. You receive your report, diagrams, configuration notes or study materials, followed by a walkthrough call and a defined follow-up period for questions.
Not sure where to begin? For most businesses the Network Health Assessment is the best first step, because it shows exactly what needs attention and in what order.
What is always included
Regardless of which service you choose, every engagement includes:
- A clear, written scope agreed before work begins, so there are no surprises.
- A kickoff call and a walkthrough call to align on goals and to explain results in plain language.
- Written deliverables you own, provided in standard, editable formats.
- Security by default: minimal access, no passwords sent over plain email, and a reminder to rotate shared credentials when we finish.
- Vendor-neutral advice. We do not resell hardware, so our recommendations are based only on your needs.
- A follow-up period after delivery for clarifying questions, as described on each service page.
